An excellent read, even for a layperson within the science discussed. A word to those considering reading with little to no prior understanding of Hawking's work or the schools of science in which he thrived: this book contains long stretches of complex theoretical discussion that is a far cry from the introductory level discussions held within Hawking's writing intended for laypersons.

Alternates between completely mind-blowing and way too dense for me to handle comfortably lol. But that's a me problem, not a fault of the text. Definitely suggest reading the physical copy, the diagrams do a lot of heavy lifting.

What a challenging read! I probably only understood a tenth of it but still  enjoyed this book.

So much information to process and consider but one thing is certain- instead of overwhelming me, I’m ready to learn more and challenge myself more.

How did the Big Bang create conditions suitable for life? This book proposes that the laws of physics aren't fixed, but rather evolve along with the early universe itself. Written for a non-technical audience, it's dense but accessible.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
