Really enjoyed. Found the "token black guy" comment really weird from one of the MCs though. It came across closer to claiming forced diversity than a critique of the lack of diversity.

3.5 stars, my favourite so far, for some reason? I did not expect to like this??

Mason and Denver, ex-members of the boyband Eleven, used to be best friends, the closest. Until a kiss on the day the group separated drove a wedge between them. Denver had been in love with Mason for years, but Mason only considered him like a brother... ouch. Cue almost 2 years of radio silence. Mason went for a solo career that TANKED and had to face the failure alone. Even the other Eleven members who were as close as a family, didn't reach out to help him and it makes him lose faith in pretty much everything. He goes to hide in a snowy chalet in Montana and becomes a recluse. Denver has to deal with abandonment issues and the confused feelings of ghosting the man he's been in love with for years. His career is not going anywhere and he just watches as it goes to nothing.

When Harley wants Eleven to reunite, none of them want to (neither does Blake, their actor friend), but when after 2 years, Mason and Denver meet again, they're both bitter and scared to find their relationship in tatters. But they can work with that :D
“Last time, I thought I was in love with you. This time, I know I am.”

I liked the angst! Both men dealt with their issues and this book just handled darker themes than the previous books, even if it was nowhere near to be central topics in the story. Denver has a problem with drinking (different from a drinking problem) as well as a fear of abandonment because of his tough childhood. Mason is burned out and used to be depressed. They're messed up. But I still liked them! I like how direct Denver was once they were reunited (after Denver ghosted him for 2 years, not suuuuuper direct lol). He just went and said: i used to have feelings for you, it broke my heart when you rejected me and I didn't feel like I could face you, I didn't want to hurt you and I'm sorry I did. HE JUST WENT AND SAID IT, and I really enjoyed that. Mason was more complicated, he kept his feelings close, and even when he and Denver started hooking up to see where it led them, he never did much to reassure Denver about the seriousness of their relationship. But again, it was obvious how much they cared for each other so I didn't really mind it.

Mason’s a “see what happens” kind of guy, and I’m the “all or nothing” type.
We’re a recipe for disaster, and yet I can’t bring myself to walk away.
“Stay with me tonight?” I murmur.
“I’m not going anywhere.”

The angst was angsting, it made me soooo sad but I like how it was solved! One of the best thing about this book is that it's the first one that allowed us to see all the members of Eleven interacting and they were so cute! Harley is again a whole new person, But the goose chase Denver, Mason and Blake pulled made me smile so much. It was just super nice to see their family-like relationship after hearing of it for so long!

Now I can't wait for Blake's book, I'm already super excited, one more straight man to conquer and all of this boyband will be gay as a unicorn <3

✎ Fandom is the third book in the FAMOUS SERIES by Eden Finley and I love it and the emotional roller coaster it took me through.

✎ Denver and Mason’s character was written so beautifully and brilliantly, just two best friends with their own fears and insecurities trying to find out how to navigate a the toxicity of Hollywood while staying through to themselves.

✎ This story is about second chance to friendship, family and love. It’s about forgiveness and letting go of regrets. It’s about being unapologetically you and surrounding yourself with people who love and accept you just the way you are. It’s about falling inlove with your best friend and facing any obstacle life will send your way together.♡

Mason really interested me, in the other books. I really liked hearing about him in this and his relationship with Denver. I love the chase with Denver, Mason, and Blake against Harley. Masons mom is so cute!! I think something inside me healed when Mason got home and all the other boys were there.

So refreshing!!!

It's like Eden take my heart and full it with fluffy butterflies. It's so sweet that I am jealous. And sadness bring tears, funny jokes bring laughs, and love bring emotions. A lot of first time. Friends who didnt see it coming. And a mother with a lot of deduction.

2.5 stars rounded up. This was a friends to lovers story which is a trope that I think is hard to do well. This one also included a dash of Gay For You (yuck) and generally seemed very similar to Blindsided in her Fake Boyfriend series which I also didn't like much. I didn't think Mason's trauma of being abandoned by all his friends was resolved very well. However, I did like the reality TV show stuff and seeing the characters from the previous books.
