Very witty dialogue and some beautiful imagery. The characters were interesting and sometimes assholes but I loved to hate them. The historical setting was really immersive and engaging and, as far as I know, quite accurate. The only thing I didn't like was the ending, it felt rushed and out of place - like the author only remembered that she foreshadowed a murder plot at the last minute and had to throw one in randomly
