Tough to read- ur in the head of a pisces and their fantasies and projections and really painfully articulate codependence (the most piercing mirror I’ve encountered) and brutal hyper awareness of the void, not only the nothingness but they are drawn to it. It’s not about escaping suffering as much as it’s being drawn to the void. Made me think about all the things we do to stuff the void/deny/avoid it. Romance (that ones more complicated tho), shopping, image, money status power blah blah what’s the diff between the void and morality? Can u sit with the void and befriend it? Perhaps like the idea of becoming a friend to your own longing like John O’Donohue and David Whyte talk about. The end felt rushed and I wanted more explanation of Theo’s lure. Is he evil???? Help??? And me being me I would’ve liked a resolution or a flash forward but that’s life!

I really feel like this book had some interesting ideas and some really compelling sections
Spoiler (namely the chunk near the end when she’s contemplating suicide via having Theo drown her)
but the main character was so annoying that I literally could not enjoy it.

Also I think Lucy would be a terf (too much “divine feminine” crap from her)
