Luna's still annoying and now you add in Kid Kree? Please let that be the last of him.

This was a great follow up. The series is kind of wacky and kind of absurd, but it's fun, sincere, and has a good core.
The narration gets a little repetitive in a couple points. But the simple fact is that there's a lot of good here, and I really enjoy reading it.

I standby the fact that this could use prior Marvel knowledge, but it's still fun, and my kids like it too.

While still a charming superhero story, volume two takes the book down a peg from "fun for all ages" to "great if you're under twelve, but super repetitive if you're a teen or older". That's completely fine, I don't need to be the target audience for every comic on the shelf, but I was hoping the magic of volume one would continue.

This volume focuses on Moon Girl's Inhuman transformation, and her relationships with Ms Marvel and a Kree child calling himself Captain Kree, who decides to capture Moon Girl to impress his father.

It's a great kids book. There's no suspense, everything is perfectly spelled out, and the ending can be seen about three issues out. There is a nice denouement when the Totally Awesome Hulk returns.

I would absolutely recommend this to someone looking for a graphic novel series for kids, or for adults who get stressed out by The Unknown.

There is such a range in quality in Marvel books. On the surface I'd say Squirrel Girl and Moon Girl were aimed at the same audience. Except Moon Girl is consistently good, both writing and art. I just like Lunella. I wish they had handled her Inhuman power differently, but perhaps it will change over time. Ms. Marvel as a guest star works out pretty nicely, the Hulk not quite as much. But Kid Kree could have been way more annoying.

These are definitely aimed towards younger kids but hey at least there’s a dinosaur.
