What a cute middle grade trilogy! I think the second book has been my favorite so far

Hi I love these books they're so cute and make me happy.

This one had less actual baking in it, unfortunately, but I still loved Leo and her character development (how she makes herself be heard and comes up with plans and trusts herself and goes against what she's been told because she thinks it's right). As always, I love the relationship between Leo and her sisters (and the rest of her family) the most.

The audiobook is excellent and I will be listening to audio for the third book as well! (Only downside is that the recipes are supposed to be on an attached pdf and the digital library will not oblige me, alas.)

Such a cute story! I loved the incorporation of Leo's friends into the magical world. And it was super interesting learning about other magical abilities.

RTC when it's not 4:37 am, but the short version is this - I love this family. I love how these stories focus on feeling left out and grief and moving on and love. I love that they're all covered in sugar. I love that this made me sob like a baby. The two books in this series are genuinely so magical and pure and they just make me feel all the way good.

Anna Meriano’s books never disappoint me. I absolutely love Leo and her love for brujería.

This second installment continues the sweet family bakery bruja storyline of the first book. The way in which the author incorporates family, sisterhood, and feelings of being left-out are very relatable, for all people, but especially children and those who have dealt with being bi/multicultural-lingual and not feeling quite like they fit in.
