I gave this book 3 stars even though I wasn’t really a fan because this isn’t my typical read so I didn’t wanna lower the score because someone that loves rom coms might really enjoy this. But this is still my review so I am going to list my issues with this book

1. Insta love. It had that type of vibe. As soon as he “asks her out” he is already thinking about a future with her. And yes you could argue that since it did take them until the end of the book to actually get together that it’s not really insta love. But I beg to differ. It definitely had that vibe. I do not enjoy insta love. It grosses me out.

2. The main character was so cringe. She named her dog Bella Swan and that’s totally fine but she kept making Twilight references and that gave me a huge ick. I’m not someone who enjoys modern pop culture references in the books I read. And there was A LOT in this book.

So if you are someone that enjoys insta love trope and some modern culture references/jokes then you will love this. If you are like me and don’t, then stay away from this book.

The perfect cozy holiday read! I loved everything about this book! I felt like I was in Primrose Glenn right alongside Quinn and Asher enjoying the small town Christmas magic- and hijinks. I loved the portrayal of emotional abuse in a romantic relationship, and I loved seeing how Quinn dealt with and ultimately overcame her trauma. And Asher was just the perfect love interest, grumpy to everyone but Quinn, supportive, understanding, and thoughtful. This is the perfect book to read around the holidays when you want to add a little “naughty” to your naughty and nice ;)

tacky, spicy Hallmark book

I enjoyed this one enough. It was like a tacky Hallmark with some pretty great spice! 3.5 ⭐️
