It was really good practical information in this book. Things like this in five minutes a bird songs in the morning. Being around nature as a way to alleviate stress. And in that sense because a lot of value which people should read.
Oh my, is this woman an Asiaphile this book is very happy to tell you about the wondrous things in Japan, Singapore Korea, while equal attack in the United States. And it’s fine to point out the flaws and different nations and how different nations view nature but I got a little bit a rolly, and I anticipate this woman visited anime con, kind of uncomfortable tokenism of different cultures
And the biggest criticism I have of this book is, but we often find in books about people reconnecting with nature. There is a really uncomfortable sense of privilege and this scornful dismissal of the reality from most people without money. Most people without money do not have the affordability to move geographically to places that are in rich in natural environments, if that’s not where they came from. And this idea that kids, it’s in schools and poor communities need to be born connecting with nature is really out of touch narrative, and I found it really disgusting.

Really excellent read. Confirms a lot of things that are believed to be true, but with scientifically explanations that are easy to understand. A good look at humanity and our common denominator and how we treat it & why we need more of it. Highly recommend For the information, but also the reminder to cut yourself slack and just spend more time outside.
