Initially, the cover of this comic caught my eye, and flipping through it I found the artwork all-around very beautiful. If you like reading about cute couples in little episodic slice of life scenes, then I would very much recommend this so far. The chapters are very short (at least for this volume), but each of them showed a different aspect of the relationship dynamic between Veloce and Blackbird which quickly had me falling in love with the two.
I haven't read Carciphona, which is the series that these two characters originally stem from, but I am definitely planning to after reading this!

"Girl you're so handsome, it's hard to forget you."
- a fun au from Huang's original story... I didn't realise this was a fun alt side story for the characters until reading. So you can imagine after this, I rushed over to Carciphona!
- love the art styles and character design
- Blackbird and Veloce have chaotic energy
- okay, relationship goals
- they're both so... pretty and badass
- the energy and vibes of these scenarios/art style are immaculate
- the flirting, the old married couple dynamic but make it gaaaaay
- the calm gay who is a secret gremlin and the outwardly gremlin gay
- Meron is so sweet! (note from reading the series: glad we get to see more of her!)
- my oh my I'm living for the flashbacks where they first met! Wholesome flirts
- I just love them so much
- I love them even more knowing they’re currently smug enemies in the series

this is my favorite graphic novel and my current obsession its not an exaggeration when i say i have never loved a lesbian couple more than i have loved blackbird and velose (save for maybe catradora)
basically, amongst us is a webcomic (you can read it on webtoons, tapas or on its own site here: amongstuscomic.com) about two arrogant, god complex, and masc musician gfs who fell in love in high school and are now navigating their relationship in college, including two arcs: the first is slice of life and extremely cute and the second is a flashback arc that details how they fell in love (SO MUCH YEARNING)
i adore this comic so much. it's my favorite sapphic story of all time (exempting she ra) and i need everyone to read this because it's so underrated. you would think it's very popular but its not, for some weird reason, but PLEASE support the artist and read this comic!! i need more of these girls or im gonna cry (and maybe talk to me about them????)
but beware it IS ongoing and it updates like, once a month
