I liked the writing and the story. I hated the protagonist, I hated that she lied for no reason and she was very immature. I also didn’t like a lot of other things. The cover of this book is gorgeous but it really grounded my gears.

Freaking loved the dynamic of the two sisters it reminds me of me and my sister a bit. Was kinda disappointed at the ending though. Wish it was a little different but it was good.

I couldn't do it. DNF at 33%. Book was horrible and had no redeeming features. I checked the other critical reviews and it seems I'll probably hate the entire experience so I'd rather not torture myself.

The characters in the book made it difficult to continue at times. At certain points you hate them but also hold a soft spot for them.

Damn it got me at the end. A few flaws (mostly because satisfying but not too satisfying endings are hard to do) but it still hit. Definitely check the CWs before you go in.

Wow, this book was amazing! So many emotions. The relationship between the sisters was super believable and relatable. I loved Jayne as the narrator/point of view character.

I don't think I've ever highlighted sentences in a fiction book, but I had to stop and absorb these ones:
- My will to live leeches out of my skin and disappears into the atmosphere.
- The planet is on fire and everything is random.
- I can practically hear the fissure in my brain. It's as if every splinter of frustration from every non-confrontational moment in my entire life forms this dense thorny morning star of rage that I'm desperate to hurl at him.
- But I'm sold on there being a home for your soul.
- Manufactured urgency is their absolute favourite emotion.
- My thoughts go scribbly with pent-up bitterness.

It was good. I hate the main characters behaviors and decisions sometimes but that was the point. You root for her for the same reasons you’re disappointed in her
