I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Such a refreshingly new idea for a dark romance book. Set in an experimental “insane” asylum type institution, where you get to meet some very mentally scared characters. Each has a different mental health ailment that they have to live with. Throughout the book there are a few mysteries that hint that something might not be as it seems at Blackwood institution. Book has a really good twisty ending and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

This was instant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!
I was reading Corpse Roads by the same author and a lot of random names start showing up in book #2 so I was like "do all these random characters have their own book? And they sure did!!

This book is about five broken minds and souls who find each other in an psychiatric institute. But Blackwood Institute is not what it's seems to be.

The writing is very well done! You can really feel the pain the main characters go through in this book. The spice is also well done IYKYK 😏 and this book also have a mystery plot!!! The suspense is blowing my mind!!!! I'm starting with the second book right now!

This book is such a dark and emotional read but it is absolutely incredible! The plot and the characters are unique, making you love the book and get sucked in quickly. Although it takes a while to get going, I would recommend to anyone who wants to read this to keep going and you will definitely not regret it. This book is definitely not for the faint of heart so please check the many trigger warnings before you start.

This book is probably the darkest book I’ve ever read. It could be incredibly triggering to some.
