Oh Ash! He's been my favorite throughout the series and he did not disappoint.
One night he spots Bridget in the crowd at one of his hockey games but she's attending with her terrible boyfriend. One month later, he ends up injured and in the hospital and she ends up being his nurse. He finds out she is single and it's game on. He doesn't ever give up on her. Talk about a boy obsessed! I loved how he was willing to stand by her and stay by her side no matter what was thrown their way. She kept trying to keep it casual in her own way to protect him. But you can't push away what's meant to be. Ash was so patient in his pursuit of her. I love how loyal and thoughtful he was. They just fit each other perfectly. I love the found family aspect of this book. Ash's fellow hockey players are like family to him and are there for him through thick and thin. I loved seeing Bridget's friendship develop with Everly & Grace. They were the friends she didn't realize she needed.
I listened to the audiobook of this and Erin Mallon & Jason Clarke did a fabulous job. They were a fantastic duo for this book. I loved how easily they were able to capture the personalities of both characters.
What to expect:
-Hockey Player MMC
-Man obsessed
-Forced proximity
-Found Family
-Slow burn
-Who did this to you?
-No 3rd act break up

This one wasn’t for me.
The couple knows next to nothing about each other, and the pacing felt way too rushed in the second half of the book.
Truthfully, I finished this one just because I know I want to read Jack’s story next.

Slow burn kung slow burn ang atake.
Not too 🔥 kasi bandang 60% pa or more ung scene.
Love the characters! Focus lang sa goal ang mmc for the fmc, talagang wawait at haharot sya kung kaya.
Spice would be 🔥🔥 - Not focused on the smexy scene so it's good. (TOO MUCH IS UNREALISTIC AND BORING LIKE NAUUUR)

I want to start with this is the first book I have read in the Wildcat Hockey series and it won't be my last book in this series or by this author.
I adored Ash and Bridgets story. Let's say Ash fell first and hard. Bridget was in a relationship when Ash first met her (no cheating involved in this story). When Ash walked away from her fate had other plans. When Ash get's injured and put in the hospital his nurse is the beautiful woman he saw at his hockey game Bridget.
Bridget has just recently left a bad relationship and she isn't ready for dating yet. Ash respects her boundaries and suggests that they be friends. When he finds out she needs an apartment he gives out a friends phone number. Bridget has reservations about his intentions but decides to give it a shot. She finds out these friends are gf's/significant others of his hockey brothers but the girls assure they won't force her to see the hockey players or Ash unless she is ok with it.
Ash has the patience of a saint! He stays in the "friend zone" allowing Bridget to make the rules. They eventually become friends with benefits and let's just say Ash in the bedroom is **hot** and who knew he had a kinky side?!?
Ash is honestly the book boyfriend we all look for. He is thoughtful, kind, patience, funny and hot in the bedroom.
This book has no 3rd act breakup and the characters have communication through out the book on what they want/expectations etc.

i keep somehow liking each book more than the last. this series is utterly adorable and all of the couples are beautiful.
if i ignore the fact that ash has long hair he’s my lover. he’s such a sweetheart and i love him and bridget.
i wish we had gotten a book about jack or maverick i wanna know how he and dakota got together. jack also deserves love and im so glad he’s open to it now.
beautiful series i genuinely love it.

While I hadn’t read anything by Rebecca Jenshak before and hadn’t read the previous books in the series, I wanted to give this one a try. I’m hard into my hockey romance era and wanted a sweet and spicy read.
This was ok. The story was fine but it didn’t wow me. Sometimes it came across like a YA novel- WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE, just not what I’m into. And there are some hella good YA novels, I just didn’t go in thinking that was the narrative I was coming for.
I like the relationship between Ash and Bridget but it didn’t wow me. I also picked it up because the FMC was a nurse! As a nurse myself, I’m sorry but there is NO WAY you can work a 12 hour night shift, go to class all day and then be ready for another night shift with minimal sleep. That felt really false to me and it actually took me out of the story somewhat.
If you’re looking for a quick hockey read, this is fine. I didn’t dislike it but I didn’t love it either. Maybe I’ll have to try another one or her reads to see if the writing and style is any different.
