Another great book in a great series.
I absolutely loved representation in Skylar being hyper sensitive. As I am hyper sensitive myself, it made her struggles with certain noises, anxiety and bigger groups of people so much more real for me as I could relate to a lot of the things typical for her character.
Also the insight into Gavin’s mind was very nice to see.

Some quotes I could relate to:

-“Sorry, sometimes I’m bad at verbal conversations.“
-“My state of distress didn’t make sense. But I felt it anyway.“
- “I’m not even afraid of specific things, necessarily. I just get anxious a lot. […] People make me nervous, especially if I don’t know them. I never know what to say and I worry about what they’re thinking and whether I look stupid or they think I’m crazy or weird. I get anxious when I go somewhere new. I worry about getting lost or something unexpected happening and being unprepared or not knowing what to do. I don’t like feeling uncertain“
- “Suddenly the rustle of leaves was crackling too loudly in my ears. I felt like I was going to crawl out of my own skin“

Some more quotes I just really liked:
- “Not ten seconds after I walked out the door, I already missed her.“
- “He calmed my mind”
- “He made me brave”
