Quick, easy and enjoyable read. Wren getting sick really got me and I was a bit emotional from then on. Not sure if I’ll read the others in the series as I think this was a good finish for me and I don’t want to lose that

✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨

The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

STAR RATING: 3.5/5⭐️

Review:
I wanted to love these characters, and I wanted to love Calla… but every character drove me insane. Calla had a lot going on with her father’s friend contacting her and saying he’s sick, then her visiting Alaska. Jonah immediately rubbed me the wrong way and didn’t redeem himself good enough in my opinion. And then suddenly… they’re in love? I was infuriated! The writing was great, but ugh… I do need to continue the story.

Here we go… another case of #bookstagrammademedoit. I have seen this one everywhere, especially from Phoebe at @readandwright and since I’ve been on my romance kick, I figured that there is no time like the present ❤️ And oh boy, this one filled my heart and then broke it into a million pieces ⁣

What I loved:⁣
✈️How emotional this story is… gosh, the last quarter of the book I felt like I was experiencing every emotion possible. The characters become so real and vulnerable and makes for such a great story. ⁣
✈️How the characters progressed…I just loved being with the them and witnessing their personal growth. I was rooting for all of them. I especially loved when Calla’s comes to truly understand and accept her parent’s love story.⁣
✈️Where the story ended left me so excited to read Wild in Love.⁣

What I didn’t love:⁣
✈️TBH I could. not. stand. Calla for a good portion of the book. She made me want to stop reading (although I’m glad I persevered). ⁣
✈️The ending was very rushed for me. The author could have easily written another 100 pages and I would have cried a lot more tears.⁣

Bottom Line: Get through the first half of the book and you will fly through the second half! Oh, and be prepared to fall in love. ✈️✈️✈️✈️/ 5⁣

The description of Alaska in this book made it feel like a character. I loved that! The story was heartbreaking and healing.

Does deal with the loss of a parent

I loved this book. Now all I can think about is travelling to Alaska lol. Definitely shed a few tears. Safe to say I will be buying all the other books in the series immediately.

Talk about a great way of starting off the new year—neglecting my college responsibilities by diving into good books.
