Taylor and Cairo were
The sweetest couple, I swear from the title my brain already knew where it was going but I’m glad it went right, straight and left. I fell in love with them both. Shae !! You did that once again!! Onto book 3!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I absolutely absolutely enjoyed this installment. I can definitely say that this one was a step up from the first book even if it was a tad shorter. This focuses on a new couple, Taylor and Cairo. Taylor has just gone through a major break up and Cairo is known as the happy hour hoe who apparently has sex with a lot of company members. To help her get past her breakup, Taylor's friends take her out for drinks where they try to convince her to hook up with Cairo. What comes from their interaction is absolutely beautiful. Clearly, there is instant chemistry and they get to know each other on a deeper level. I was very surprised that I wasn't annoyed by Taylor as character because she's so insecure, but I've been in her shoes quite a few times especially post break up. And what's even better about it is that Taylor is aware that she's broken. I can appreciate a heroine who can recognize her own flaws and also the flaws of her partner. There is an interesting element (I won't go into specifics because of spoilers) of this book that I haven't necessarily seen before and I appreciated it from Taylor's perspective. This book isn't as steamy as the first book, but it's definitely sweeter and more endearing. The couples are extremely different and will meet the needs of different readers. I'm really excited to continue on with the series.

I love a good its meant to be type scenario! Here for Taylor and Cairo! When you do the work how can something not be for you? I rated this a 5 because it was a good storyline and will probably be a reread when I need a feel good short. Definitely recommend!
