if i'm being honest, when i started the book i really didn't have high hopes that i would like it. Damon annoyed the living hell out of me at the start of the book and i didn't really start to like him and find him funny till the middle of the book. Saint on the other hand, there is no picture or anything on what he looks like but i just know that that hunk of a man is hot. i felt like the dynamic between the two characters did mix well and i enjoyed reading about their relationship. i also like the drama in the book like the whole forbidden thing at the start but then going into them actually liking each other and resisting each other. my 13 year old self was screaming while reading this i mean falling for their kidnapper, ugh i used to love that shit and even now this book has made me start to love it again. the end was also really cute like i felt so warm reading the ending chapters about them actually being open and loving each other and moving together. when Damon surprised Saint with a fucking library in the house, i felt so jealous like i wish that was me and someone loved me that much to build me a library. (when will that happen to me please?!?!?!)
overall, i actually enjoyed this book and found it interesting to read. i also will definitely be finding more books about stuff like this.

This was a fun, entertaining read. Unfortunately probably not really a memorable book but I did enjoy the journey.

I think my biggest issue was I didn’t really care about either main character. Saint never really grew on me, and Damon was kind of insufferable once he got back to his life. He was just way too Gen-Z for me. It’s giving cringe.

I also think their relationship moved way too fast. I was hoping for a slower burn given the circumstances. I did enjoy their little cat and mouse game when Damon was back home and trying to track down Saint, but then things again just went really fast when they were back in each other’s lives.

The sarcasm and banter definitely kept me entertained even when the story wasn’t 100% working for me, so I enjoyed that part of it. I do enjoy Jesse’s writing, this one just wasn’t my favorite.

This is my first book by Jesse H. Reign and I really enjoyed it. I love MM books.

Demon, a rich man's son is kidnapped for ransom. Saint is his kidnapper. The tension between the two is palpable. Demon tries to get under Saint's skin and this ends with Demon on his knees in front of Saint.
Afterwards they can barely keep their hands off each other.

The kidnapping does not go as planned and Saint decides to help Demon.

I like Demon standing up for himself and demanding more from this relationship and from Saint.

A Demon and his Saint

I typically don’t like brats, HOWEVER I really liked all the crap Damon put Saint through! And Saint has the patience of a….Saint! But he did eventually hit his limit and once he did, oooo boy!

I didn’t realize until after I started but this is not my first Jesse H Reign book. I will most certainly be making my way through the rest of this authors books!

A sweet read, loved Saint and Demon grew on me. Slightly repetitive in places, but I thoroughly enjoyed their love story 🥰
