I couldn't stop listening to this book! I pretty much cleaned my entire house while listening to this book. I felt like each of the POV/timelines gave the story a great balance and created the sweeping narrative. I didn't want to stop until I knew what happened. I had never heard of the Night Witches prior to this book and really felt like Quinn did a lot of research and took great care with the histories she used for the story.
Also, I appreciated the unexpected queer characters, which I seldom encounter in historical fiction. This book would be a great read, or a great listen. The narrator Saskia Maarleveld did a fantastic job complete with appropriate accents for the varied players in the story.

Kate Quinn is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors - her books are full of engaging storylines, compelling characters, and history lessons that’ll have you filling your Google search history so you can find out more. This isn’t a ‘whodunnit’ type of book - you know exactly who the ‘bad guy’ is from the beginning - but it’s still suspenseful enough to keep you tearing through the pages to see what happens next. And considering the length of the book, it moves along super quickly, and is told in three different points-of-view (Nina, Ian, and Jordan) and two different timelines (two in the present and one in the past).
I also want to give props to the audiobook narrator, Saskia Maarleveld, who did an absolutely incredible job bringing the characters to life.

Kate Quinn has done an amazing job in her follow up to The Alice Network. A much different WWII story than I’ve ever read before, told from the points of view of a wartime correspondent, a war battered female Russian pilot and an Leica toting American high schooler. The Huntress affected all of them in one way or another and the ride until the end was thrilling. Highly recommend!
