My god this book was genuinely horrible. Painfully slow and boring until the very end. I didn't predict the reveal, however it was not that interesting. Don't read this. Nothing happens.

This book was very good and I never want to read it again. Being in physical proximity to it is bothering my brain. It’s haunting my subconscious. The twist is - goosebumps - unexpected horror. I have a full on book disassociation hangover. Writing this review is giving me goosebumps.

It’s a fast paced read with chapter flips from the present to the past. The present POV is always the same character. The past POV is a different character each time.

A school trip turned deadly. Only nine survive. Come to find out “survive” is too strong of a word for these nine. When you start the book you can tell there’s some element of danger. You have no idea what type of danger. As the type of danger begins to be revealed you’re thrust into a horribly stressful scene that lasts for chapters. After breaking out of that the danger element twists. And twists. And twists. Ending in a climax that was honestly so horrifying it’s haunting me.

If you need a quick horror read this book is high on my list. As long as I never have to read it again.

Ahhhh what a slow burn. SO many twists and turns. The flashbacks and various POVs added to the story. I had a hard time putting this down, and I am so happy I added this one to my BOTM for April. ✨
