most offensive part of this book is the flaunting of a utopia in which the MBTA could function after a series of quote “monster nor’easters”, when in reality if you look at it wrong it catches on fire.

really, i liked claudia and all the boston references. i may have to take a walk around that area of the common soon.

victors chapters were hard to read (understandable, given he’s a violent white supremacist and misogynist) but those beliefs and those people do exist and i think the author did a good job of showing how people can get that way and spiral their way further down without making him sympathetic.

Another middle of the road read. I was fascinated by the premise of this one, following an abortion clinic in Boston, but the execution was so weird and scattered. I liked all the threads, but they didn't come together for me in any meaningful way.
