Loved the concepts explored, but the story itself and the characters fell flat. There were some beautiful lines, and the horror scene near the beginning really made me gag, but most the book left me feeling meh.

Creepy, dark, thrilling, addicting.
I loved how the whole thing was written from the perspective of a small child. I enjoyed realising what was really going on, despite only being told of the events through a child's language.

A nice story short enough for me to read while waiting for a flight, and during said flight, minus a few pages. Neil Gaiman going back to his roots of inscrutable cosmic forces seen through the eyes of small but noble humans. It didn't wow me like alot of his other stuff did, but I enjoyed the vibes.
