I was curious about this book after it went viral recently. I love the concepts and illustrations and I plan to read it to future children; that being said, I think the adult reading this book will have to prepare themselves ahead of time to answer questions the child might have about the larger words like “neutrality” or “policies”. Because of these larger words, the rhyme scheme was off at parts.

When my daughter first started picking out her books for bedtime, she ended up picking out this one every night for almost two months. Both my kids (both under 5) now choose it at least once a week (sometimes more). Fantastic book. ❤️

This was an awesome picture book, but it also serves as a great antiracist parenting book. The tips provided to baby in order to be antiracist are elaborated on in the back of the book to help parents raise a child who actively strives for being antiracist. I thought this was a great introduction to kids and antiracism but also a great reminder for grown ups on the ways we can be antiracist.
