Seemed to have elements from many books that I've read lately, and never really grabbed my interest...

The first 2/3 of the book was quite interesting. Then it felt like the author kind of got stuck. The book sputtered for a while, then it went off in this completely strange direction that was more than a little stupid.

I stopped reading at 34%, I just couldn't take the drama anymore, and really, nothing much has even happened so far! Ever is so adamant to not hear what other people are thinking she forgets she's still alive. *sighs*

My main issue was her insane trust in Damen. He’s always keeping info from her, even when she’s a part of it. Really though, it took him the whole book to figure out that evil wench he was married to was behind all this? Dude. No way in hell could he not have known that. As for being married, if she’s been coming back all this time, wouldn’t you want a divorce the first time you saw her come back, or even the fifth, or however many after, whenever it became legal not just now? He’s a liar. And she is gullible. Gullible as shit. And that was my deal breaker. Ooh, he gives you a flower that has a cute meaning, and flirts with other girls to see if you get jealous enough to show a reaction?

When the psycho mentions she always kills you off, and manages to make him turn to the dark side every time, wouldn’t you question that? He went there on his own fucking accord, and I’m sure he’ll go there again. Long story short, I didn't end up likin the book at all. Also, what type of evil hag kills a girl over and over before she loses her virginity?! Harsh.
