With the two main characters separated from each other with vastly different storylines, the reader gets whiplash going back and forth as the POV changes each chapter. It makes it hard to make the switch and get back into the story with every chapter.

I liked this book a lot more than book 1. I got soooo much more backstory with the men POVs and it’s great. I really like Erik I know the vampires are “bad” but still. Magnar grew on me this book. I didn’t really like him previously. Fabian’s up to something else and I’m interested to see what happens there. I was ugly crying over their dad why did they kill him off so soon omg the dreams were heartbreaking!!! And Magnar begging Callie not to take the oath bc they can’t be together even if he doesn’t say that explicitly wrecked me! 😭🥲
