the last chapter made it a lot more intriguing, i found the other chapters were quite boring for me but not that boring because i also found that Gabimaru is quite a funny guy to me. it has some gore and cutting people's head in it, which is just what ive been looking for in a manga lately

I've been on a hot streak with amazing manga lately. I really really enjoy the premise of this one and with my acquisition of volume 5 (the only one I was missing for MONTHS) I think I'm going to devour this one. I really love the "Hollow Bad Ass Ninja" is heading into certain death just to see his "Too Pure for this World" wife again. The violence and gore add some realistic stakes and the monsters in this scream a Kentaro Miura influence that is worn with pride on its sleeve. I'm already in love. Wish I'd have brought Vol. 2 with me to work... Alas...

I wound up reading this after my wife and I watched the entire first season of the anime in two days, and I regret nothing. Delightfully fucked up. Highly recommended for fans of Rin Chupeco (and their evil trees), or readers who (like me and my wife) are weak for terrifying murderers who wish they didn't need to do so much terrifying murder.
