Re-read. My second favorite book in the whole series after Book 1. Some characters were obviously plot devices, but I loved the arc surrounding Charlie's mom and expanding our circle of endowed. When I was little, I thought this was the last book because of how the last chapter ends -- but we've got more to go. Onwards and upwards, folks!

As I said with the last book, it's nice to see things that are more deeply affecting Charlie & Co. A LOT was revealed in this book about the continuing feuds between the various lines of the Red King. However, I will say that Benjamin really bothered me in this book. He wasn't reacting the way you would expect based on his character thus far in the series.
