I truly don’t understand how books like this get soooo many 5 star reviews. It’s beyond frustrating as someone who reads reviews before deciding what books to read. Please, everyone, just write an honest freaking review.

Don’t get me wrong, this is NOT a bad book. The story is great and I like the characters. Book 1 was my favorite by far and I had sooo much hope for this series. But after the first book, everything went downhill. The writing is sloppy, the story line is dysfunctional, conversations that should have been had early on end up happening at the end of the book, way too much pointless conversations, and everything felt forced and fake in general.

Don’t even get me started on how many times the word “p*ssy” is used. Sure, go ahead and use it from time to time if you must. In my opinion though, it started degrading these intimate interactions - turning moments that were supposed to be romantic into something that felt more like a cheap porno.

I’m alllllll for spice in books, but it needs to feel like it’s meant to be there for me to believe the story. In this book, Warwick and Brex were having a deep conversation, FINALLY getting to actually know each other on a deeper level, and BOOM, she talks about how

This story deserves a better editor. There are enough original elements that I don’t know where it’s going which I’m totally happy with. If you like blood and ash but wanted it to be less saccharine than this is a good series to read.

This review will be short, sweet and simple. The tension and spice are so, so good. Warwick and Brexley, they own me. Period. Scorpion, Lukas and Ash, loves of my life. This book had me turning the pages like crazy, unable to put it down. I LOVED it. I already have the next book in my hands. Cannot wait to start it. And the ending of this book, amazing. Had me speechless. This series is like a drug. That’s the best way to describe it

I started losing a little patience for this series because there is just SO much happening and the author continuously introduces new characters. It's too many new characters and I can't keep up or feel connected to them. In saying this, the writing is good and the plot has potential. It is so strange that the FMC always talks about how close she is to someone but has only known them for a few days - either the author is trying to make a point of saying this character forms unhealthy connections or the writing is unrealistic. In terms of the romance this book was the best so far. The spice was great and the relationship was believable. I did wish that she would have just one platonic relationship with a man because it is so unrealistic that they are all just in love with her. I honestly felt anxious throughout the whole book because there was just so much happening and now I am aware that each book ends on a cliffhanger. The ending was intense but not as explosive as I had hoped, because the author hasn't spent time creating meaningful bonds between characters I was not as affected by the deaths. This was a good book, the writing is really good and it did hook me.

This is definitely “THE BOOK” in this series I was waiting for since the moment I started this installment.

I don’t even know where to start because I am just speechless and my thoughts are definitely in scrambles. You know the book is “That” good if you were here for the smut but actually stayed because of the plot.

The events that happened? I NEVER anticipated any of them. The way I just gasped from the revelations is insane. The plot definitely went deeper than the Mariana’s Trench! And the side characters were just given more time to be talked about so I really connected to them. My favorite is still Opie and Bitzy!!!! They made this book so funny, I really enjoyed this 10x better because of them.
