I like the concept but the context just isn't that scary to me? I am trying to experience it from the mind of someone that is not completely desensitized to violence and I just cant...I grew up in a time where people sought out cheap thrills and violence online so an old grainy video of a dude doesn't really affect me....I assume the historical context helps interest in the book but it just turned me off.

Super quick read, kinda reads like a creepypasta- great descriptive writing though, I could see images in my head as I was reading and they were not pleasant LOL

ending was way faster than I expected, I honestly the story was a little longer and more fleshed out and we got multiple POVs maybe

Horror is a unique genre because sometimes you find something so unique that it scares you to the bone. This book is a quick read but I can already tell it’s going to stick with me for a while. If you want a one night horror book that’ll give you nightmares this is the book for you.

Good story but didn't spook me so I can't in good conscience give it that 4*. I think maybe because it was too short, so not enough suspense was built to make the story more thrilling.
