Heartbreaking and beautiful. Such a wonderful work of fiction that taught me a lot about grief.

This book is entirely focused on the death of a sibling and the grief that follows. I’m sure it’s a wonderful book, but not for me.

I never write reviews, but feel the need to with this.
Sunset is a truly beautiful and difficult book to read. I saw parts of my own grief in this which hurt like a bitch, but was simultaneously comforting at the same time. I physically hugged this book multiple times like a crazy person. It captured the raw, disorientating pain of the first few months of losing someone, a pain I sometimes miss because it made me feel closer to my mum.
I really loved this book and will be recommending it to anyone I deem emotionally stable enough.

A really engrossing read about grief - in particular the self destructive potential of grieving.
