Yet again most of my thoughts boils down to: Enel is one messed up dude. He's like the most destructive man-child, and it's kind of creepy to read.
You've also got to admire Ruffy's single-mindedness, when he sets himself a task nothing can get in the way, and his crew is fully aware and tries to act around it when things chaotic.

Oh my God! Just when I thought I was ready to move on from this arc, we get hit with such an unforgettable pure backstory. Now I’m completely hooked! I wish we’d seen this sooner because it adds so much depth. I really appreciate how this volume emphasizes the importance of progress and growth. It’s a reminder that sometimes we cling to our old ways without even realizing it, and it’s crucial to keep thinking critically.

I absolutely loved this volume! … and I’m all in for those moments when Luffy gets serious. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

With this being the penultimate volume of the Skypiea arc, it was very underwhelming. It is the “filler” episode of this arc. I don’t yet see its relevance in the larger scheme of things, but It was jarring to have a complete stop to the current story and to focus on the story within this volume. I also feel at this point this final conflict is dragging a little too long and am ready for it to be over.
