🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ this was everything I wanted out of a spicy dark romance that happens to parallel the characters of Peter Pan (since it’s not a retelling). This is what I wanted from Katee Roberts and Ana Huang. I will certainly be tuning in for more in the series.

This book was... fine. I think the gore was gratuitous, even for dark romance. I just don't think that kind of explicit content is for me. The spicy scenes were good, if a bit repetitive. I probably wouldn't recommend this unless you can handle blood, gore, and body horror.

Absolutely delicious to read. Not a retelling per se but a lovely nod to the original story.

The characters were all developed with care (even the minor ones had a little side story) and the plot didn’t disappointed.

Dark and sexy and all kinds of wrong, this is a great start to the series. I already downloaded the second one for my flight tomorrow.

Ps: as much as the plot didn’t disappointed me it is fair to say it wasn’t without its flaws. Some of these scenes were just unbelievable but it is fairly tale inspired so I can’t really fault the story.

This was a very dark and twisty retelling of an alternate version of the Peter Pan story. Hook is the main character and the darling family is led by the stories antagonist. This is a dark romance, and although it was different than what I expected, I was very pleased and have gone on to read more of the books in this series.

i read this as an audiobook and i don’t like when they read sex scenes out loud it’s awkward or it’s just that i’ve never read one before so ☺️ and nothing was happening literally it’s like okay we get it the male lead is evil and he gets what he wants okay… and wendy is okay igs like i feel bad for her but she keeps talking about her innocence and it’s just a tad annoying. also i’ve never read dark romance before and it’s not this authors fault like i went into this blind and i was like woah wtf is going on bc — lil spoiler — the male lead is talking about fing her on her fathers dead corpse like what. i was looking for a easy romance to just listen to in the shower so it’s my fault for not doing my research too 😋

A unique retelling of Peter Pan with a handful of references to the source material. You don't have to be a fan of Peter Pan to love this story.
