This was my second Colleen Hoover book, and I was not disappointed. It was so easy to read, and once the climax began, it was hard to put down. I expected to cry, but I didn’t; that’s fine, though. The ending was satisfying, and I found myself quickly falling in love with the characters. My favorites were Sara and Pepper Jack Cheese (I’m such a sucker for animals). The plot twist was unexpected for me but that’s Colleen for you 😂.
I also really liked that she showed the complexity of Samson’s life and the motives for his crimes
Side note: the cover is absolutely gorgeous; props to Murphy Rae.

oh my gosh. i just finished this book and it was absolutely amazing, just like all of colleen hoovers books have been so far. not quite as crazy as others like her book It Ends With Us but still one of my new favorite books. i 100% recommend it although like her other books there is some smut and a lot of kissing but again not nearly as bad as books like It Ends With Us or Ugly Love. great book :)

Samson is the sweetest yet complicated and mysterious. He’s life is definitely a mess just like Beyah maybe that’s why they find comfort in each other’s sadness. Did I cry? Well there were some tears but I didn’t bawl my eyes out. I really felt Beyah’s anger towards her father and I felt sad for all the missed opportunities and memories they could’ve together if only her mother was right in the head then maybe Beyah is not that closed off as she is. Anyway rated this 4.5 out of 5 stars cause I’m not satisfied with the ending lol I just want more of Samson haha but still another gem from the one and only Colleen Hoover!
