Britney has always deserved better treatment than what she got, but hearing her full story from her own perspective, and in details previously unknown, built a whole new level of rage in me against the exploitative and hateful powers around her.

A heartbreaking, fascinating and honest story. It finally feels like we’ve heard Britney’s side of the story here. I feel so angry and upset for what she has gone through!

What a privilege to be allowed behind the curtain of Britney’s experience. As most of the reviews have said, rating a memoir is a difficult task. I loved hearing more about Britney’s childhood as well as her experience with the conservatorship. Michelle Williams did a phenomenal job bringing Britney’s words to life in the audiobook. I am so proud of Britney for advocating for herself and telling her side. I hope she can do as she wishes now and just be a human.

The way this is written sounds so genuinely the way that Britney speaks. It's so endearing. As someone who grew up in the late 90s/early 2000's it was so nostalgic to read her perspective of that era. So glad I read this.

Britany has gone through a lot in her life, and I don’t discount the bravery it took for her to share. But, the writing in this is horrible: it felt extremely juvenile and it jumped around with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Parts of her past explain this, what the conservatorship did to her mind, but it felt like it was written by someone extremely young. Almost DNF, but pushed through since it’s relatively short.
