Feeling slightly deceived by the booktuber who said this was inspiration for The Polar Express.

Enjoyed this story. After watching the movie, I definitely liked the extra characters and more details that were here in the book; they enhanced it.

This was as if Murder on the Orient Express was magicked into an over-constructed dime store Hallmark movie of a book (and there literally is a Hallmark movie of it). Throughout it, there were so many info dumps, that it read as if David Baldacci really wanted to write a history of Amtrak but lost a bet and had to write a Christmas book instead. It is unfortunate, because those bits about train history are actually the best parts, and I wished I had been reading that book instead.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was my first book on my kindle and an adult fiction story, but it was really fun to read.

This was so far left of what I usually go for. There were no murders for one. And all those coincidences were a litte too much, so the big reveal wasn't much of a reveal at all.
But the 3 1/2 stars are all for storytelling, cause the guy can spin a yarn, and the story flowed,it went down so smoothly, I finished in one sitting.
