A big letdown. I listed my review as containing spoilers but if you’ve read the first book or watched the first movie, you already know all the information in this book. It contains just the most basic summation of how the games work prior to entering the arena, as well as an incomplete tribute guide based solely on the information gleaned from the book/movie. I had hoped for at least a more complete list of the tributes, but did not realize this guide was not written by Suzanne Collins. Possibly a good read for children who enjoyed the movie but are too young to read the actual books.

The Tribute Guide is basically like a mini Hunger Games book. You see everything from the Reaping to the moment the tributes go into the tube to start The Hunger Games. What makes this so special to me, are the pictures. I loved seeing the new pics and it made me even more anxious to see the movie. It also made me want to reread THG which I'm fixing to do now :)

This was okay for the 50 cents I paid for it but there's really no new information in it or anything we didn't already know from reading the hunger games. Either way nice collectors book.

I liked this for the things the audience wasn't able to see in the movie. I liked it for some of the planning aspects. It was not helpful at all as a fan of the books, but as a bridge to the movie, it wasn't all that bad. Also, I was able to look at pictures from scenes that were cut from the movie and consider what sorts of gems might be hidden in deleted scenes once the movie finally goes to DVD.

Not bad for $5. I wouldn't pay more for it though. As is, the only reason it is worth that is that I can use it to maybe get my little brother interested in the movie.
