"When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, “Go, take for yourself a wife inclined to infidelity, and children of infidelity; for the land commits flagrant infidelity, abandoning the Lord.” So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son. And the Lord said to him, “Name him Jezreel; for in just a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed of Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel. On that day I will break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel.”
Hosea 1:2-5

Wow is all i have to say. While this is a Christian Romance it is not a fluffy one at all. This story deals with so much darkness at times it is gut wrenching to read. However through it all there ways seems to be a small glimmer of hope.

I fell in love with all the main characters and loved watching each of them grow and come to terms with themselves and all their flaws. Watching Sarah grow and feeling her pain throughout this story kept me hooked the entire time.

If you are looking for a story with great character growth and plot, this story is certainly worth a read

This book touched upon so many levels of emotions which makes this one very different. It is so detailed that it really feels like you are feeling what the characters are thinking and feeling. After all the heartache and ups and downs in the books, it leaves you with a sense of peace and beautiful ending. It leaves you understanding that although life can throw you many rocks on your path, there is hope afterwards. It was beautifully written.

I choose to read this not as Christian propaganda, but a sign to be kind to people going through rough times. I was honestly shocked when I realized that this was supposed to be a super Christian book, because it only seemed like a background setting more than an actual moral point.

I absolutely adored this book and would read it again in a heartbeat. Really shows the patience and endurance of God's love for His children.
