Resident Alien is one of my favorite comics currently coming out. On its surface, it's about an alien hiding in plain sight in small town America. But that's mostly background story. Each story arc focuses on the alien trying to solve a mystery in the community he's become a part of.

This one focuses on an old paperback leading the alien to suspect the author of the book murdered someone years ago, and is still living in the town.

Like the other volumes in the series, it goes in unexpected directions, and every tiny turn is perfect.

Harry finds a briefcase and does some really good detective work.
He realizes that the crime may have been perpetrated by someone in the town, hiding in plain sight.
It's a really cool read, and serves to push the story forward.

Solid middle book in comic run, insular story with a quirky but cute mystery attached.
