A lot of series tend to lose their lightning (zeus reference lol) after the first installment. Sea of Monsters was a good continuation of Percy Jackson as it expanded on old characters and introduced some new ones. Although I prefer the plot of The Lightning Thief, this book was great!

I think people often forget how imporant Clarisse was in this book. Me included. Mostly from this book I remembered the parts with Tyson, Grover, Annabeth and Percy. Espessially how Percys relationships with these characters grew.
