A book about an interesting person that just failed to engage me. Many elements felt unfocused and disjointed. I didn't feel like I got either a good understanding of the industry or really about Rod's life in the end beyond a list of Stuff He Did. Thought it was especially strange that infidelity and strains in his marriage were hinted at more than once but not really discussed.

also cw for war violence, I wasn't anticipating that.
