Loved this book so much! I really enjoyed Jane as a narrator; how cold and logical she could be, intermixed with her dry humour. She’s a fascinating character, a queen, and honestly the best kind of sociopath.

This is me supporting women’s rights and wrongs.
I really enjoyed Jane as a narrator, how cold and logical she could be intermixed with her dry humor. She’s a fascinating character and honestly I see parts of myself in her, which is probably why I loved her so much.
I wanted that loser Steven to kill himself, and despite him not doing that I was still satisfied by what he was served.

I was expecting this to be a thriller. I guess you could say that, but it's more of a revenge story, a slow one, and we weren't sure what will we get. Is it murder? Is it something else?
I appreciate the concept and intention, but I hope it could have more action or suspense, and/or have something more in the writing. I like the sarcastic tone, but I was hoping for more. More of what, I don't really know.
Oh, I finally read this because someone said that the main character is very like Eleanor Oliphant (from Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine), and after reading this, I get why it seems like that, but Jane is way more high functioning than Eleanor.

An interesting and cathartic read!
The book tackles misogyny, toxic masculinity, emotional abuse, and Christians abusing their faith to keep others powerless in a very cathartic way. The main character, despite being a sociopath, becomes very relatable just due to shared experiences with misogyny in the workplace and during the dating process. The catharsis comes as the plot flips the narrative on its head: the MC is using the misogyny and abuse patterns to her own advantage to manipulate her target into giving her what she wants.
There was only one moment in the book that didn't quite jive with me (the scene at the hunting hut in the forest), but aside from that Stone created a fascinating protagonist who you can't help but cheer on as she plans and plots the ruin of a mediocre, abusive man.
The ending was satisfying and a happy one, in my opinion, as well as nicely set up. Stone's writing chops as a romance author become clearly apparent in how she writes her characters and their relationship interactions, and it adds to the overall experience in a very positive way.

Jane Doe follows Jane a 30 year old woman who identifies as a sociopath on her quest for revenge against the man whose abuse led to the only person she really loved committing suicide.
She seamlessly injects herself into his life by getting a data entry job at the same workplace and molding herself into his perfect victim, sweet, gentle, insecure, and desperate to please. When he takes the bait the game begins and as she says
“The kill is fun, but toying with your prey is really the best part.”
Jane Doe is a very entertaining read if you like me love a good revenge story. It is told from the character Jane’s perspective so we see things through a filter of logic, contempt and sarcasm. She establishes herself as a confident, competent, adaptable protagonist with little that can stand in her path to revenge, all of which assures you from the start that no matter what happens Jane will come out on top.
The writing is easy to follow and fun to read, and the plot is straightforward and while you can at times see where it’s leading you I feel it doesn’t detract from the enjoyment of the story. Overall I really enjoyed this.
