Not quite four stars because I felt like this didn’t quite reach its potential. They weren’t actually together enough and I needed more of Emily and the other kids. I felt like Evie hanging out with them would’ve been a natural way for her to prove herself so Westfall would trust her more quickly.

Maybe 1.5 stars, but this one is definitely the weakest book in the series so far. I loved the heroines and was very, very annoyed by the male MCs in the previous two books, but Westfall is the worst of them, patronising and judgamental and just an asshole, and Evie lacked the charm and strength of Adeline and Olivia. I'm intrigued by the premise of book 4 so I'll stick to it, but I really don't have high hopes for that one...

The fact that he was friends with her for 6 YEARS but didn’t seem to trust her or know her character was annoying. My favorite part was when she finally told him off for that.

Stacy Reid is one of my new favorite romance writers. She keeps it interesting and her characters actually have some depth to them. Well done!
