wow.

wow.

that was intense to say the least

Fiona..you undid me..when I talked about you in the last book..I was looking at you like everyone else looked at you..how you looked at you even ..and I think C.D meant to write that book that way..which is a sign of her genius

but in this book..I saw her...because she saw herself...god but did my heart break for her.

and Elliot omg did he surprise me in this book..I fell for him seriously
even Deacon some..

I cant decide who I want her with tho.

becuase Fiona feels liike she needs to be with Deacon to be herself or be free
but Elliot needs to be with her in order to be himself and be free.

its complicated

but Elliot makes me tingle when he looses control...I want him

I cant get over the things that happen to Fiona...omg

this was raw
i didn't think it would be this potent

C.D. Reiss has a way of making you feel for her characters, no matter how damaged or despicable they are!

C D Reiss can write. The words, the pace, the characters - just perfection.

I loved that we got a peak at Jonathan Drazen too as a youngster. Sneaky trick to get me to read his story again.

So on to the book. I read Kick in the Bend anthology and really did not like the drugs or roping and wasn't sure if I liked Fiona or Deacon. Truth is though that it was written so well that I really felt the need to find out why Fiona had stabbed Deacon when he was the world to her.

I resolved to the fact that I had to buy Use. The book explores more of the relationship between the good Doctor Elliot and Fiona whilst we uncover what happened at the stables. More of the fucked up inter family relationship between the Drazen's is revealed. I am hooked - what is it about the father? What did he do to Rachel?

I will no doubt buy the next one in the series but I have to say I just don't like Fiona or Deacon at this stage. I still don't get the roping/control thing and I hate the drugs but it is compulsive reading.

I loved this book and the continuance of Fiona's story. I think she finally has some clarification of how she wants to go forth with her life and then the ending happens and I'm not so sure. I can't wait to get more of her story.

Also in USE, we get to see more of Jonathan/Rachel's story and some questions are answered about them and their relationship. It was good to see some of Jonathan at sixteen and to see what brought on his "control".

Sigh. The feels. The emotions especially towards the end. I thought things would change. But why did she chose that in the end? :( I wanna know more. More of their twisted story. It captured my attention and I now want to know more of it.

I'm really not a fan of open endings. The story feels unfinished to me. I'm kind of dissapointed with the ending. I would've give it 5 stars otherwise.
