Great book! Won't make a lot of sense if you haven't read the first, and it's a great followup anyway.
This series is one of the most original sci-fi series I've read in a while

Boy, this probably couldn’t have had a more depressing ending. Glad there is another to start right away.

One of the things I love about this story is something I didn't even realize the first time I was reading it. At least half way through the second book, did I realize that the story isn't linear.
I thought that the dates in the chapter heading are just for flavor but when I actually realized that it is not linear, I was surprised.
It feels as if we're reading the story on the various blogs on bobnet. It feels as if you're just another bob catching up on the story so far after travelling on relativistic speeds.

Great book ups the ante, from the first book, to cosmic levels, and is better written too.
