since this was made up of 12 short stories, it’s not like the other sherlock holmes stories i’ve read. therefore i was wanting more detail in the stories, but because they were short i wasn’t getting that

It was fine. Lots of short mysteries solved by everyone’s favorite detective. I might need to check out one of the longer stories to see if I like those better.

As I'm reading these in order, I can say that this is his best work so far. The stories are somewhat hit and miss in terms of how interesting they are and how well they display Holmes signature deductive powers, but on the while they are more hit than miss!

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is one of my top 5 favorite books. Throughout the entire book all the stories are entertaining. I do not think I have been bored once by this book. The book is almost perfectly written with all the short stories in it. I would definitely recommend this book.

So, I read this as part of a copy of the complete Sherlock Holmes stories, but I'm not entirely sure if I've read them all or not, because I started reading a copy of it that was bound by itself, and I found that they weren't the same. Each copy was missing a story or two and had a couple stories in them that the other copy did not have. So, maybe between the two I really have read The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, but I'm going to go ahead and mark it as read. Excellent book! They're ingenious stories and very entertaining.
