Quite a funny and enjoyable little play. I'd heard the term "chocolate soldier" before, but had no idea that it had its origins in this George Bernard Shaw play. I listened to the Librivox recording of this one, and found that for the most part the readers did a good job with the play. I'm glad to have stumbled upon this while looking for a comedic play published in the 1800s to fit into some reading challenge tasks in a couple of my reading groups. Whenever I listen to plays, I always think I should troll through Librivox to find more plays to enjoy. Maybe this time I'll actually do it.

Ok, I have to be fair here. I haven’t read a play for a long time, and I hope that reading this one will be the first in a row of many other plays. The story is good, easy to understand, but why do most plays have such chaotic endings? This one was no difference. Everything happened all in the third and last act. Even us knowing who each character exactly is and their confessions and revelations. However, I will not judge all plays. Will definitely read more in the coming time to learn more about them.
