I generally enjoy the Daisy Gumm Majesty series but I found this a little boring. While I am happy Daisy didn't just bounce back and was truly devastated by Billy's death it was boring to read about. The author could easily have set this book 12 months after Billy's death. That would also have meant Sam's declaration wasn't in such poor taste and Daisy's supposedly starting to return those feelings more believable. While I always expected that Daisy & Sam would end up together based on their current interactions - it doesn't feel at all realistic.
