THIS BOOK WAS SO AWESOME!
- I HATE Hearthstone's dad. What a dick.
- Alex is beyond cool! I love the diversity!
- Sam and Amir were SO CUTE!!! I originally was going to ship Sam and Magnus, but never mind. Now I'm not 100% sure who to ship him with. There's Alex, who I can see him with. Considering this will be a trilogy (I thought it would be 5 books. Not so.) I think he'll be with Alex. 1 book isn't enough for there to be a new love interest for Magnus, because it takes a couple books to build relationships, especially romantic ones. 1 for introducing and getting used to in charter dynamics, another for romanticizing.
-I loved the wedding. SO entertaining!

Now to the part that made me squeal like a pig (in the words of my 10-year-old brother) with joy!
"I THINK IT'S TIME YOU MET PERCY."
MY THEORY IS CORRECT! HALLE-FREAKING-LUJAH!
THERE SHALL BE A GREEK-ROMAN-EGYPTIAN-NORSE CROSSOVER! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU RICK RIORDAN!

Ask me why I loved this book? Thought it was an improvement on the first, had so much real tension and plot interest, and great characters going through some pretty dark things - all with trademark Riordan humor, quests, and inclusive writing. Tragic that this is only a trilogy! I could read a hundred of them.

Rick, if you're seeing this - more books set in Boston, please. I'm literally begging you. This book mentions Anna's Taqueria and the Thinking Cup on Newbury and I texted like four people about it.

I didn't like the narrator at all and I need to remember this for next year and don't hype the audiobook. The book was good! As usual. I yelled out loud in a few places and laughed out loud in others (which got somewhat awkward at the office...) but ah yeah. LOVE ALEX!!!!!!!! So much!!!!

Solid ass book! Honestly, I'm a little sad I put it off for the whole summer, because that was a fun ride!! SPOILERS
I'm soooooo intrigued by the ending because I was not expecting a Percy cameo and now I CRAVE IT..... I NEEED IT. SHOW ME THOSE WATER POWERS SEAWEED BOY!!! NOW.
OHOHOHOHO I feel like Uncle Rick can't help himself with involving that man but anyways... I thought Rick's portrayal of Alex was chill, though I don't know a lot about gender fluid people, so I can't judge how accurate the portrayal of Alex's experiences was. I really enjoyed the deep dive we got into Samirah and Hearthstone's backstories/morals. Overall, this was a good adventure, though the wedding thing was definitely a little confusing at first. I see now how it was setting up for the third book though!! Magnus is a himbo as always, and Alex clocked him really well towards the end of the book. I love these characters, and I can't wait to see where the final book takes us!! But also what am I gonna do when I run out of Uncle Rick books to read T.T
