I checked this out from the library today. This book was a quick, fun read. There were definitely some darker parts, edged with teen fiction lightness most of the time. I really enjoyed 'You Are So Undead To Me'. While the plot was a little predictable most of the time, I didn't see the end coming. Definitely a great twist. I will see if the library has more of this series. 4 stars.

I rushed to read this after just finishing Stacey Jay's "Dead on the Delta" & my initial reaction was one of disappointment. This is set squarely in the YA genre & lacks the depth of an adult novel.

But before long I was thoroughly enjoying myself. I am not a big fan of zombies, but this novel is so much fun! If you read it expecting some light entertainment, you'll have a ball :)

Not your typical zombie book. Cute book, and I can't wait to read the next two!

Books like this are why I love secondhand stores. I owe whatever fluke in fate that allowed this book to make it to this town for only 25 cents a huge thank you, maybe even a cookie.

'You are so Undead to Me:' the title alone should betray at least some of the great writing. Stacey Jay manages to not only create a fantastic world (It is fantastic, and you can tell she had fun playing around in it.) but captures the plight of a fifteen year old girl convincingly.

My one complaint is that I figured out the ending about halfwa through, but A: this was written for a young adult, not adult audience and B: I'm a writer, so I honed in on what she was doing.

There aren't many books anymore that I'll stay up past midnight reading, but this is one of them. She manages to pull you right into Meg's plight. If you see it, secondhand or otherwise (I'd almost prefer if you bought it new, since I feel guilty about not giving the author any money for such an enjoyable read...), pick it up and give it a quick read. it only takes a few days, so what's the harm?

There isn't much to say about this book,
Cliche, yes. Predictable. very much so. The main character Megan Berry starts off as an interesting voice as her powers to "settle the dead," return after a horrible encounter at the age of 10 robbed her of her ability and memory of said event. As her powers return as Zombies start to stalk her and her friends, Megan becomes less interesting and more 'whiny,' and sadly less likeable. The story is shallow, which I didn't mind as much as I did mind the story itself taking place almost all inside her own thoughts, her own feelings. I give this book 2-2.5 and unsure whether I care enough to find out what happens next to Megan as she learns more about her powers and her budding romance with the hot college guy Ethan.

This sucked. Thank goodness it was only a novella.

You Are So Undead to Me by Stacy Jay follows Megan Berry a Zombie Settler. Megan's settler abilities have just come back and at the most inconvenient time. Megan is a teenager trying to get a date for homecoming and audition for the Pom squad. This is hard enough without both regular and rogue zombies disturbing her life. Will Megan be able to figure out who is creating these zombies and save homecoming?

This is a delightful "fluffy" zombie novel. I loved the settler mythology that was created and Megan's powers and responsibilities conflicting with her desire for a normal life made for a story that was fun without being too terrifying or bloody. I finished the book quickly and can't wait to read the next in the series.

Appropriateness: There is no adult content in this book. The romance consists of a bit of kissing. I recommend this book to readers 11-15

More like 3.5* This book took a while to get started, but once I did I could not put it down. I loved Megan and was heartbroken with her when I thought Ethan really did like Monica and again when Jess turned out to be in on the RC issues. I wasn't that surprised though, because from the beginning I thought it was her. I was a little disappointed when it turned out that all that Monica was guilty of was being stupid and jealous. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series!
