If The Kennedy’s made chaotic love to Telemundo and then their baby was raised by The Wolf of Wall Street then it would be this series. The WASPY DRAMA is just off the hook.

I must be in the minority but here it goes-Macalister is an undiagnosed sociopath whose concept of consent is incredibly twisted. I loathed him and by the end it was a struggle to read his scenes I hated him so much. All he did was manipulate situations to gain more control of someone who wasn’t is. He doesn’t have hot Daddy energy-he has rapist energy (but he’s rich!). I

That was a wild wild wild ride. I thought I signed up for a run of the mill marriage of convenience, damn was I wrong.

Royce played the LONG game. Wow.  There were times I doubted him and he scared me. I'm really glad he stayed true to the course.

McAllister. What. In. The. Hell. Is. Wrong. With. You. No means no and consent applies to everyone. Keep your hands, eyes, thoughts to yourself and maybe your wife wouldn't go psycho on ppl.

Speaking of Alice. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK. you slept with your stepson and husband's bestie?! Bc you didn't have your husband's attention!? You tried to poison and throw someone off a balcony? You cray cray.

Now Marist.... I forgot she was an adult at times. She's incredibly niave even for a privileged rich kid. However, the HBIC comes out in book 3. Sis played them all. Way to go girl.

Over all the series had me squirming and real uncomfortable. If she had consented with full knowledge of what would happen, I would've been on board. There were too many bait and switches. She was full on assaulted and it wasn't ok.

WILD. From start to finish. I honestly didn’t know who I wanted to win by the time I got to this book. Maybe that says a lot about me and my taste in book boyfriends, but whatever. Y’all aren’t judging me, right?

...and just like that I finished the original three books of the Filthy Rich Americans series. I see there are two more picking up where this one left off, only with Macalister's point of view. I don't know if I'll actually pick thise last two books up. One one hand, sure Macalister is an interesting character, but on the other, this is just so so for me at this point and I might be maxed out on the drama.

It's finally here. Time for Marist to marry Royce and officially become a Hale. The only complication is the one that's been there since the beginning - Macalister, her soon to be father in law, who openly admitted he is in love with her. He's continuing to put her in a spot where she can't fully trust him and that's his end goal, to pull Marist and Royce apart. Now that his wife Alice has openly tried to kill Marist, he's openly showing his disdain for her and his feelings for Marist. All the meanwhile, Royce has been cooking up something of his own. The only question is can he and Marist trust one another in this high stakes game?

Drama, drama, drama. That's what I came for and that is certainly what I got. This is one incredibly twisted family and as much as Marist denied her feelings for Macalister, it certainly seems like she didnt mind playing along with his games.

I am that white man blinking gif. In the third of the Filthy Rich Americans we button up Marist and Royce/Macalister’s relationships. I don’t know if believe a HEA is possible for any of these characters at this point. I felt invested in some of them for a moment but in the end they were all pretty terrible. This series is worth it because it’s basically a soap opera with the amount of shit going on. Plus spice. Plus taboo spice which makes you cringe.
