This book is trash filled with factual errors and the writer lacks any sort of writing style to atone for this. On top of that, there are traces of racism and homophobia. There would probably be misogyny, too, if the topic discussed wasn’t roughly 95% male.

overall, a hugely interesting history book on the hardcore music scene, and has opened my eyes to some bands i had never heard of before. that being said, the style of writing got a little repetitive with the "line-listing" of bands. the thing i loved the most was the snippets that old band members would recall about their time in their bands. if the book had more of that it would have been a five star book for me.
