This book was so good and it gutted me! I love being immersed in another culture and time that I don't know a lot about. Her descriptions are so vivid I could see everything. Can't wait for her next one!

Chanel Cleeton has the most beautiful writing! I fall in love with her stories and I have loved every one I’ve read. Beatriz is such a strong, honest, developed character that you can’t help but get attached to! After following Elia’s history in the other book, you get a further glance into another Perez sister! Beatriz took the world by storm and she had her own challenges and scandals, but she was so intriguing! I highly reccomens this for historical fiction- I was able to be captured by a story, but still learn so much

Listened to the audio book. It was an okay sequel but kinda dragged for me personally. I did like how it gave a whole different perspective than the first book, and different time lines. It just had a lot to do with politics, which don’t super interest me
